Recent Alumni Back on Campus
College fall break means visits from our recent alumni. Last week, we welcomed recent alumna, Mari Jones '17, who is a freshman at Harvard University for a visit. Mari was recently named a John Harvard scholar designating that she is in the top 15% of the freshman class.
Mary Clyde Culbreath '14 was also on campus in the classroom. A senior at Birmingham-Southern College, Mary Clyde is pursuing teaching and shadowed Lower School art teacher, Mr. Jim Lalumondier, to gain experience in creative arts teaching. While an Upper School student, Mary Clyde did some student teaching with the first grade. She credits her passion for education to her Hammond kindergarten teacher, the late Kinsey Black Jones.
