Phillips McWilliams ('01) quoted in the New York Times
Phillips McWilliams ('01) Quoted in a Story on the Front Page of the New York Times
Mr. Fowler's Guitar Club Reunion

For 20 years, Robert Fowler has been a fixture in the history department at Hammond.  While he has regaled countless students with his unique brand of teaching, he has also served as the voice of the Skyhawks and announced numerous seasons of home football games during his tenure.
What has brought him closest to students, however, is the guitar club.  Any given day can find him holding court, his signature hat pushed back on his head, a guitar in his hands.  As the 2013-2014 draws to a close and Mr. Fowler looks toward retirement, a group of nearly 30 alumni returned to pay homage to him with a "Last Jam with Mr. Fowler" held in the Bank of America Theatre during an assembly.  Current students joined alumni in presenting the musical tribute to Mr. Fower.
Thank you, Mr. Fowler, for 20 years of good teaching, good music, and great fun!
