Skyhawk Club

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Skyhawk Club President. My name is Beau Kaneft, husband to Alle,  father to Henry (’27), Finley (’30) and Anne Collins (’33). Our family is very blessed to call Hammond our school home. It is an honor to take over for our previous President. We are extremely grateful to Ernie Redd for his years of service and countless hours dedicated to making Hammond Athletic events an enjoyable experience for all. I have very big shoes to fill!

As we step full force into the ’25-’26 athletic season, our student-athletes are prepared to bring their utmost to the field, court and track. Another year brings a whole new set of challenges and opportunities. It is an ideal time for all of us – parents, teachers, and alumni to come together in support of the hard work and determination of our many athletes. There is no small part to play. If you are coming to cheer in the stands, purchasing an ad in our sports program, or joining the Skyhawk Club, you are contributing immensely towards the successes of Hammond Athletics. Those of you that have, or will be making that commitment(s), we thank you so much!

We look forward to the excitement that Hammond Athletics and the athletes that participate bring us every year. Your support has never been more valuable than it is now to help give them the resources they need for success in competition. The expectations of a Hammond athlete are second to none and I have personally watched your children lay body and soul on the line for the love of their sport. It is truly infectious.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a small part towards Hammond’s  athletic initiative of excellence. You have truly talented and remarkable kids. We certainly can’t wait to watch all of the promise transfer to the playing fields, courts and track.
