Athletics Mission

The Athletic Department oversees developmentally-appropriate physical activities for our younger students, organizes interscholastic sports from grades 6 through 12, and takes part in our statewide individual and team sports competitions through the South Carolina Independent Schools Association (S.C.I.S.A.).

Through competition, we strive to develop the intellectual, physical, social, and moral strength of each student-athlete.

Our Athletic Mission:  “It's More Than Just a Game”

When playing a sport at Hammond, our goal is first and foremost to make sure our student-athletes learn life lessons through the competitions they play on the field/court.  We expect our athletes to learn how to compete the correct way, handle adversity, work together for one cause, push their limitations to achieve greatness, and to continue to grow as young adults.  We want to continue to teach them the meaning of team and that there is something larger than them, individually, in life.
