Congratulations to Anika Gupta ’27, recipient of the prestigious Kevin Cessna-Buscemi Global Citizen Scholarship, awarded by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).
Anika qualified for the scholarship after scoring in the top 1% nationally on last year’s National Spanish Exam. As part of her application, she submitted a thoughtful Spanish-language message and completed a video interview—all conducted entirely in Spanish.
Thanks to this incredible honor, Anika will participate in a week-long virtual immersion experience through United Planet, diving deeper into the language, history, and culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
