Six Skyhawks Head to National Merit Scholar Competition

Congratulations to six outstanding Hammond juniors who have qualified to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program this fall: Sullivan Epps, Annie Garside (not pictured), Madeline Gerland, Birdie Hunt, Zachery Patterson, and Libbie Williams.

This recognition places them among the top academic performers in the country, based on their exceptional scores on the PSAT/NMSQT. Each student now enters the next stage of the prestigious National Merit Scholarship competition, which honors academic excellence, leadership, and potential for future success.

We’re incredibly proud of these scholars and all the hard work, dedication, and curiosity that brought them to this moment. We’ll be cheering them on in the next phase of the competition—Go Skyhawks!
