Patrick Rybarczyk Named SCISA High School Math Teacher of the Year

Upper School math teacher, Patrick Rybarczyk, was named SCISA’s inaugural recipient of the High School Math Teacher of the Year Award. The newly created award seeks to recognize math teachers who have positively impacted students in the classroom and who have built positive and engaging relationships that encourage curiosity and inquisitiveness about the study of mathematics. The award was presented to Mr. Rybarczyk at a recent SCISA math competition. According to Upper School Head Jody Lumpkin, “Patrick Rybarczyk is a brilliant mathematician and an even better teacher. His dedication is unsurpassed as he seeks to work with students before and after school and even on weekends. He encourages curiosity and helps students become interested in math. They in turn benefit from his dedication and care. His teaching is of the finest quality.”
