Alumni Spotlight Margaret Deans Grantz '09

In the community, she has been actively involved volunteering with Camp Kemo Programs, the Junior League of Columbia, and Transitions. She is a member of Leadership Columbia class of 2017 and was just named the 2019 Association of Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Rising Star. Margaret Deans and her husband, Derrick, just welcomed a new baby girl, Leni, who will be a future Skyhawk, class of 2037! She adds, " I have been Hammond's biggest cheerleader since 1996 when I first started attending Hammond. I was a cheerleader for 7 years and just started my seventh year as varsity competition cheerleading coach and I also serve on the Hammond Alumni Council!" Student Advice: "Enjoy every minute of your Hammond experience. The life lessons you learn at Hammond will truly guide you through the rest of your life. You will graduate from Hammond and thank your parents for the opportunity to attend such an incredible school. Appreciate it."
