Alumna Cecilia Barksdale Fournil '92 Developed Passion for Learning at Hammond
Cecilia is a 12 year Skyhawk beginning her Hammond career in first grade. She fondly remembers playing softball, volleyball and basketball and worked equally hard in the classroom.
"Hammond gave me such a solid foundation in both academics and community involvement that I was able to excel in academics and sports extremely well in college." Cecilia attended Presbyterian College and then the University of South Carolina where she played on the golf team and earned a degree in marketing and management. Cecilia and her husband, Alex, own Vista Insurance Group and have three offices in the Carolinas. Their daughter, Morgan, is a little Skyhawk in Mrs. Lauren Eynon Wells' '05 kindergarten class.
"Insurance has a continuing education aspect that I truly enjoy and do credit Hammond with instilling the idea that we can always learn and grow."
