Hammond's College Counseling Season is Underway

College counseling season is underway, and that means that students are busy completing applications, touring campuses and making early decisions. Hammond's college counseling approach is personalized and designed to help individuals navigate the complexities involved in the search and application process.

"We are excited about working with students during this time in their lives. Our goal is to streamline the process for students and their families so they can concentrate more on finding a good match and less on the frustrations involved in understanding just how this creature called "college admissions" works," said Carolyn Stoddard, Hammond's director of college counseling.

According to recent alumna, Sarah Addy '16, "I think it really shows how much they want you to succeed as much as you want to succeed yourself. They really make the point of getting to know you, make sure your applications are in on time and filled out correctly." Sarah is a sophomore at Sewanee, the University of the South.

Hammond's Office of College Counseling is located in the Upper School office suite in the Manning Building at center of Hammond's Upper School Campus. You can reach Carolyn Stoddard at cstoddard@hammondschool.org or 803.695.8625.
