Coming Full Circle

Friday's Together in the Lower School took on greater significance for us all as we came full circle and welcomed Columbia and Fort Jackson firefighters, Mark and Austin Hood of Hood Construction, and Mayor Daniel Rickenmann back to campus, this time for a celebration of gratitude.

Last February, an evening fire displaced students in grades second through fourth who missed only one day of school before returning to relocated classrooms. Through the hard work and dedication of the firefighters who helped contain the fire, and the commitment of Hood Construction, we realized our dream of starting the new school year in a newly renovated and enhanced building.

It was a time of celebration, a time to be together, and a time to express gratitude to those who stood shoulder to shoulder with us during a difficult time. On behalf of the entire Hammond family, thank you!
