Planned Giving

A Lasting Impact

One of the many and most lasting ways you can leave your mark on the school and help ensure others benefit from the Hammond experience is to join our Talon Society. Members of the Talon Society have named Hammond as a beneficiary in their will, a life insurance policy or other planned giving vehicle. Doing so costs nothing now and helps build an endowment that will serve future generations of students.

An Invitation to Join the Talon Society

Our current members of the Talon Society have expressed their commitment to Hammond by naming the school as beneficiary of a planned gift. Gifts might include a bequest or gifts of life insurance or retirement plans.

Joining the Talon Society is easy! Once you complete your estate plans, please return our member profile information card to let us know. Your membership involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank and recognize you for the plans you have made. We hope it will inspire others.

The most important benefit you will receive from joining the Talon society is the satisfaction resulting from making an ever lasting contribution to the long-term success of Hammond. With your gift we are able to ensure the quality of educational experience we provide to our students on a daily basis.

Discover the Benefits of Giving Wisely

Did you know there are creative ways to support Hammond? Ways in which Hammond, you and your family all benefit at the same time? These types of thoughtful gifts are called "planned gifts".
  • You can make a gift that costs nothing during your lifetime such as naming Hammond in your will or life insurance policy.
  • You can give stock and realize larger tax savings.
  • You can get a monthly paycheck for life in return for your gift by creating a charitable gift annuity.

Sustaining Hammond for the Future

A gift to Hammond's Endowment through your estate plans will provide a permanent means of generating income for future generations. By safely housing your designated funds in the endowment, where only the interest generated is used for expenses, your gift will live on in perpetuity. Endowments operate much like a savings plan for families. Money is placed in a savings account; only the interest generated is used to help operate the household.
