The Hammond Alumni Council spearheads alumni involvement with the school by leading alumni communications, bringing alumni back to campus, and hosting several exciting socials, service projects, sports reunions, college visits, Homecoming, Legacy Breakfast and the Commencement Breakfast honoring graduating seniors and their parents. Minutes from the Alumni Council are available. If you'd like to become involved, please contact Emily Bedenbaugh firstname.lastname@example.org.
Welcome Hammond Alumni!
As your Alumni Council President, I have now seen Hammond through the eyes of a student, alumna, and parent. In all of those years, I must say that now is the most dynamic time in our school’s history. While our students are always excited and full of energy, that excitement has now fully engulfed the Hammond community and the community beyond our gates. Hammond’s campus has almost completed a major improvement to facilities through a very successful capital campaign. We are so thankful for the support many of you provided. Hopefully you have all heard about our new Innovation Center. It is a state of the art learning environment that you must see to truly appreciate. Our new Lower School playground has been greatly enjoyed by our youngest students since last fall. This incredible addition is quickly noticed by prospective students and surely helps in decision making. Finally, our new Upper School gym is almost finished. This space will truly allow Hammond athletics to shine. We win plenty of state championships and will now be able to provide our students with the facilities they need to continue their success. Make sure you contact the school for a tour if you have not had a chance to see all of the progress first hand.
Serving as President along with Alumni Affairs Coordinator, Emily Bedenbaugh, and the newly elected Alumni Council (see below), I know this year will prove to be exciting for us all. Please consider one of the many ways you can get involved. There are opportunities to mentor our students, help volunteer in our community through alumni sponsored events, serve on the council, attend an alumni social, and of course, give back to the school that has given so much to you through the Annual Fund. We hope to have you engage and strengthen the relationships you have with each other and with the school.
Here’s to a great school year and Go Hawks!
