Extended Day Program
Welcome to Hammond Extended Day! We are pleased to have the opportunity to serve your family. Extended Day is designed to be a true extension of the school day. Our program extends the Hammond Experience and assist with providing students the foundation they need to develop a lifetime love of learning in a fun, caring, and safe environment.
Extended Day offers students a balance of structured and unstructured time; a chance to relax, enjoy outside time, and to learn in multi-grade level settings. We strive to provide age-appropriate programs with varied activities while building self-esteem through positive interactions. Daily activities are planned in advance, and provide a hands-on interactive learning experience in a stimulating environment. Our program goes above and beyond to address other important aspects of a child’s education, such as character building, literacy, and fitness.
Registration in the Extended Day Program is open throughout the school year; however, families are encouraged to register their children prior to the first day of school. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Extended Day Program Philosophy
Hammond Extended Day is committed to providing the highest quality program for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 6th. The curriculum is developed by the program's staff and seeks to incorporate each child's age and developmental level, his or her individual needs, interests and the family's culture. The Extended Day faculty and staff strive to enhance and support each child's intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth and development in an environment that is safe and nurturing. The program works with school staff, families, and community resources to support the strengths and meet the needs of each child. We encourage children to explore the world around them and develop their interests and talents while nurturing their academic and interpersonal growth through hands-on, cross-grade and enrichment activities, field trips, and other fun and engaging experiences.
