The libraries of Hammond support the philosophy, mission, and curriculum of the school. Our libraries are places that nurture academic excellence in students in all three divisions of our program, and provide the necessary resources to assist students in the learning process. We strive to encourage a love of learning and the enjoyment of reading.
Walker Library is located at the center of the Lower School campus. It serves Pre-kindergarten through Fourth Grade. Lower School students visit with their classes to choose books or to research class projects and may come individually before and after school or any other time during the school day with teacher permission. Walker Library works to encourage in all students a love of reading and learning and a respect for differing beliefs and points of view.
