Overview

At Hammond, all students are provided with the opportunity to appreciate art and its rich history. In addition, they gain the skills involved in the creation of visual art, music, and drama. The curriculum focuses on showcasing the talents of students via exhibitions and performances. Fine arts classes are required at all levels and the instruction of art is woven into many other subject areas.

The fine arts faculty are artists in their own rights. They have been recognized regionally and nationally for their enormous talents. The enthusiasm they feel is contagious. Students become competent at presenting themselves and their work to the Hammond family as well as to the public at large through this venue.
