  • The SAT average in 2006 was 1204 with 32% of students earning scores of 1300 or above. Hammond students have averaged 1200 or more for 9 years.
  • AP qualifying scores for college credit were 90% in 05-06.
  • More than 200 Hammond students have earned National Merit recognition. Hammond tops all other area independent schools in the number of students who have earned National Merit recognition.
  • The top individual scores in the South Carolina Independent School Association middle and upper school state championships were earned by Hammond students.
  • The South Carolina Junior Academy of Science awarded Hammond first place in the state Chemistry Olympiad.
  • In 2005-06, 10 Hammond students received National Merit recognition.
  • All Hammond graduates attend college and in 2006, 82% of the Class earned scholarships totalling more than $3,000,000.
  • In 2006, 79% of seventh graders participated in Duke's Talent Identification Program as a result of high SAT scores.
  • Hammond graduates have been awarded the Morehead and the Jefferson Scholarship.
  • Middle and Upper School Math Teams have won State Championships.
