1.Included with this mailing
is a Senior Class College/Scholarship Survey. Please
complete and return to Ms. Easler by Thursday, May 1.
2. May 1 is National Decision Day. You should have accepted
an offer of admission in writing and made a deposit at
one school by this date. A final transcript with second
semester as well as year end grades will be mailed automatically
to your college of choice by the College Counseling Office
as soon as all grades have been posted. You should decline
offers of admission in writing at all other schools.
3. Awards Day is Friday, May 23, at 9:30 in the Upper
School gym. Parents of seniors traditionally attend.
This is a dress-up day for seniors.
4. Graduation Practice is Friday, May 23, at 11:30 at
First Presbyterian Church. Seniors should arrive no later
than 12:30. Practice will last approximately 1 hour.
5. Graduation will be at 10:00, May 24, at First Presbyterian
Church. Seniors should arrive no later than 8:45. (Please
note: If you would like to have an individual photo made
with Mr. de Pencier that morning prior to Commencement,
please see Ms. Easler to make arrangements no later than
May 1st.)
6. Ten general admission tickets have been reserved
for each senior family and may be picked up by a parent
during regular school hours between May 7-14 in the Upper
School Office. If your family does not require ten tickets,
please feel free to share your family’s extra tickets
with other senior families who might have greater need.
You may also return unneeded tickets to the Upper School
Office where we will share them on a first-come-first-serve
basis as supplies allow.
7. Mandatory Senior Reception is Friday, May 23, 5:00-7:00,
in the Lower School Kiva. Seniors and their parents should
plan to attend. Gentlemen should wear shirts and ties.
Ladies’ attire should appropriately reflect gentlemen’s
dress requirements.
8. Continue to write thank you notes to those people
who have been instrumental in your application process
(ie those who wrote letters of recommendation or spoke
on your behalf).
9. SAT II’s are scheduled for June 7. Register
with College Board if you still need to take an SAT II
as required by your college of choice.
