International Education

Hammond School strives to provide an international education, programs, and activities in which to increase the School's global profile. Hammond seeks to enhance, enrich and broaden our students' understanding of the world, while also fostering a greater appreciation of the diversity and rich cultural heritage beyond our Nation's boundaries. These opportunities will help our students become productive citizens in today's increasingly interdependent world.

“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” ~ Saint Augustine

Country of Study

For twenty years Hammond has expanded the borders of our education through the Country of Study program.  Tanzania was selected as the 2012-2013 Country of Study.

Thanks to the generosity of the Hammond Parents Association, three members of the Hammond faculty are selected each year to visit the country of study in order to bring a greater understanding to the Hammond community.  A teacher from each division was  chosen in order to bring the culture and diversity into every aspect of the Hammond curriculum.
