Manning Library

Manning Library is located at the center of the Middle and Upper School campus. It serves grades five through twelve. Middle School students visit with their classes to choose books or to research class projects and may come individually before and after school or any other time during the school day with teacher permission. Upper School students may come whenever they have a free period to study or to use library resources. As with the Middle School, classes come to begin to research projects, to receive instruction in finding the information they need, and to learn to evaluate information, especially from the Internet. Manning Library works to encourage in all students a love of reading and learning and a respect for differing beliefs and points of view.

The library’s collection consists of approximately 18,000 items, including books, videos, DVDs, and CDs. The library subscribes to 63 magazines and journals and two daily newspapers. There are thirteen PCs for student access.
