Following weeks of practice and the official "Kick-Off" Pep Rally this past Friday afternoon, the fall athletic season is well underway. Members of the cheerleading, cross country, football, girls' tennis, swimming and volleyball teams are primed and ready for competition.
The varsity football team won its home opener over Hilton Head Christian, 27-13, and will travel to Laurence-Manning for this Friday's contest.
Varsity volleyball opens its regular season with a home match on Tuesday against Wilson Hall and then will travel to Brookland-Cayce and Porter-Gaud at the end of the week.
The varsity swimming teams earned a top four finish at the highly competitive Northwood Invitational in Charleston, SC this past Saturday.
Varsity girls' tennis has their first matches this week when it travels to Wilson Hall, in Sumter, SC and hosts Richland-Northeast at the new Hammond Tennis Complex on the South Campus this Thursday.
The varsity cross country teams begin their seasons at the Chapin Invitational on Wednesday where the Girls earned a 2nd place finish in 2005.

- Junior varsity football team vs. Laurence-Manning at Home on Thursday.
- Junior varsity volleyball team vs. Wilson Hall at Home on Tuesday and vs. Porter-Gaud
Away on Friday.
- Junior varsity girls' tennis team vs. Wilson Hall at Home on Tuesday.
- 7th grade football team vs. Orangeburg Prep at Home on Thursday.
- All three cheerleading teams are working hard and leading fans in some enthusiastic
roaring for all Skyhawks!
