In
essence, the students and faculty of Hammond School have
established that they desire an institution of learning,
discipline, and honor. The respective codes of honor represent
the school’s effort to provide the Hammond community
parameters within which these qualities might prosper.
The
honor system at Hammond is not a compilation of student regulations;
rather, it is an understanding that persons attending Hammond
will act honorably. In short, it is not too much to ask that
Hammond students do their own work, represent themselves truthfully,
and claim that which is their own.

only not be lost." Arthur Schopenhaur
