Closings/Emergency Procedures

School Closings:
In the event of inclement weather, Hammond will close at the same time as other schools in District #1 of Richland County. School closings are announced on WIS TV, (Local channel #10 or Time Warner Cable channel #3), and on this web page; (www.hammondschool.org/closings.php).

No announcements are made when weather and/or road conditions are not hazardous. Reopening Hammond after an emergency closing will not necessarily be the same as District #1 schools. Announcement of reopening will be made by Hammond School adminstration on WIS TV, (Local channel #10 or Time Warner Cable channel #3), and on this web page; (www.hammondschool.org/closings.php).

Emergency Procedures

Hammond School maintains a comprehensive Crisis Manage-ment Plan. It was designed for the protection of lives and property through effective use of the school's resources. The plan is regularly updated and moni-tored. Our goal is to ensure the safety of students and staff as best as possible until designated local emergency authorities give further instruction.
