The October practice schedule is still being ironed out.
The Lady Skyhawks won the swim meet at Rockbridge on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The Lady Hawks defeated Ben Lippen, Cardinal Newman, Heathwood Hall and Trinity- Collegiate. The Hawks came in third. The Hammond Varsity Swim Team was the only private school competing in the Dreher Invitational this past Sunday. The Skyhawks and Lady Skyhawks finished eighth out of the fourteen teams competing at USC's Blatt Center. Below are some star swims from the Dreher Invitational: Mimi Keenan (5th - 100 Back and 5th - 50 Free), Alex Metropol (3rd - 100 Free and 7th in 100 Breaststroke), Marshall Keenan (12th - 100 Breaststroke), Girls' 200 Free Relay (4th - Ellison Wofford, Sarah Dobbs, Mimi Keenan and Alex Metropol) and Boys' 200 Free Relay (8th - Zach Wainwright, Marshall Keenan, Norris Laffitte and Bryce James).
The swim team's regular practice schedule will be Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Practices will last from 3:45 p. m. - 5:00 p. m.
