The Varsity Boys' team (19-9 overall; 5-3 region) advanced to the second round of the SCISA State Tournament by defeating Pee Dee Academy by five points on Saturday. The Skyhawks lost to Porter-Gaud, 77-57, in the second round of the State Tournament on Tuesday, February 29. Thanks go out to the Hawks for a great season! Congrats to James English and Daniel Bailey for being selected to the Region II-AAA All-Region Team and the All-Tournament Team.
The Lady Skyhawks (15-10 overall; 4-4 region) won the Region Tournament Championship by defeating the regular season champs, Augusta Christian, 60-44 on Friday night at Hammond. Congrats to Margaret Clay, Ali Hymson and Lauren Smith for being selected to the Region II-AAA All-Region Team. Kudos to Ali Hymson for being chosen by the region coaches as the Region Tournament MVP, and congrats to Margaret Clay and Sarah Parker Mounce for being chosen as members of the Region All-Tournament Team. The Lady Skyhawks lost to Wilson Hall, in double overtime, in the first round of the SCISA State Tournament, 54-50. Congrats to the Lady Hawks for an exciting season!
